Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 eggs, including the yolk
  • 150 g butter, cold or margarine
  • Jelly (blackcurrant jelly)
  • Almond(s), chopped
  • 1 egg(s), of which the egg white

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Christmas cookies

Knead the dough from the ingredients. If it’s sticky, chill for a while. Then roll the dough into a log and cut into cherry-sized pieces. Roll these into balls, dip them first in egg white, then in chopped almonds. Using your finger or the handle of a wooden spoon, make indentations in the balls and fill them with blackcurrant jelly. Bake for 15 minutes on the middle rack at 175-200°C (350-400°F).
