Blackberry – red wine – jam

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 850 g blackberries (also frozen)
  • 150 ml red wine, semi-dry or sweet
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp clove powder
  • 1 kg gelling sugar (1:1)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

enough for about 5 – 6 glasses

Rinse the blackberries and puree thoroughly (thaw frozen berries first). Pour in the red wine. Mix with the gelling sugar and let stand for 5 minutes. Split the vanilla pod. Add the vanilla seeds and pod. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer for about 4 minutes. Add the spices for the last minute. Remove the vanilla pod and pour the jam into prepared jars. Seal and then turn upside down for about half an hour.
