Blitz – Steamed Dumplings

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 150 g sugar
  • 300 g flour
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 tbsp margarine
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 4 eggs

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Beat the egg yolks and sugar until frothy. Add the flour and baking powder while stirring. Then fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites. Place the margarine in a large saucepan or frying pan. Then add the milk and sugar, about 1 cm deep in the pan. Bring to a boil. Scoop out small heaping spoonfuls with a tablespoon and drop them into the milk. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve with vanilla sauce and/or mixed fruit.
