What to make with leftover stew – a juicy burrito

This popular Mexican dish is perfect if you need somewhere to use leftover meat, mushrooms, legumes, and stuffing. By the way, if you don’t know what to make with leftover grilled chicken, then feel free to make a burrito – you can’t go wrong.

To prepare you will need:

  • tomatoes – 3 pcs;
  • meat – 150 gr;
  • canned beans – 150 gr
  • cheese – 150 gr
  • Onion – 1 pc; Cheese – 150 gr; Onions – 1 pc;
  • pita bread – 1 pc;
  • lemons – ¼ pc; garlic – 2 cloves.

  • chili – 1 pinch.

Rinse the tomatoes in boiling water, cool, and remove the skins. Peel onion and garlic, chop and fry in vegetable oil with cumin and chili until golden. What to make with leftover pita bread – chicken casserole

If you bought a thin pita but did not use it all – do not wait until it dries out. Prepare a delicious casserole from it – we are sure that your loved ones will like such a dish.

To make it you will need:

  • thin pita – 3 pcs;
  • minced chicken – 200 gr;
  • cheese – 100 gr;
  • Onions – 1 pc.
  • milk – 200 ml;
  • Butter – 2 tbsp;
  • wheat flour – 2 tablespoons;
  • salt – 2 pinches;
  • ground black pepper – 1 pinch;
  • Nutmeg – 1 pinch.

Chop the onion finely, and fry in a pan until golden brown. Add the minced chicken, and stew over medium heat until fully cooked. Remove the products from the frying pan, and melt butter and sifted flour in it. Stir thoroughly so that there are no lumps. Pour warm milk, and add pepper, salt, and nutmeg.

Cook the sauce, stirring, for 5 minutes, then return the roast to the pan and stew all together for another 3-4 minutes. Spread the filling on pita rolls and roll them up. Cut each roll into three pieces, and put all these pieces into greased casserole dish. Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake at 180°C for 10 minutes.

What to make with leftover boiled rice – tasty cakes

Boiled rice can be reused, but it is not as tasty as it was at first. That’s why UNIAN recommends making patties with rice on yeast.

For the preparation you will need:

  • wheat flour – 700 g;
  • water – 500 ml;
  • sugar – 3 tbsp;
  • vegetable oil – 1 tbsp;
  • salt – 2 tsp;
  • dry yeast – 10 g;
  • minced meat – 150 gr;
  • Boiled rice – 150 gr.

Dissolve yeast with salt and sugar in warm water. Sift flour, pour in the oil, and knead the dough. Cover a container with a damp towel and leave it in a warm place for 1.5 hours. Fry the stuffing in vegetable oil, and add rice, salt, and spices. Divide the dough into 10 equal parts, and make a flat loaf from each. Put rice in the middle (you can add another ingredient), pinch the edges, place on a baking tray, and leave for 30 minutes. Brush the cakes with whipped egg yolk and bake for 40 minutes at 180°C.
