How to Brew Rosehips to Preserve the Vitamins: The Best Options

Tea from rosehips can and should be drunk by all those who want to strengthen the immune system and prevent colds, especially during the changing seasons. Also, rosehips are useful for pancreatitis, cholecystitis, and various intestinal disorders. If you suffer from pressure fluctuations and headaches – rosehip infusion will improve your health.

IMPORTANT: before brewing, the berries of fresh or dried rosehips must be rinsed under running water to clean them.

How to brew rosehips in a thermos – the most popular way

Many people brew rosehips exactly in a thermos – so it turns out to keep the infusion and its useful properties longer. Take a thermos with a maximum volume of 2 liters and fill it with berries for 1 / 3. Pour hot water (not boiling!) over rosehips, cover, and leave for 8-10 hours so that the berries infuse. Then you can safely drink this infusion, and if the berries were large, then brew them again.

How to brew dried or fresh rosehips on the stove

You need to take a saucepan, put there the washed berries of rosehip, and pour warm water. Observe the proportions – for every 500 ml of water take 2 tbsp of whole berries. Next – leave the rosehips under the lid for 30 minutes, then put on the lowest heat and boil the berries for 30 minutes. In the end, remove the pan from the stove, cool it, and drink.

How to brew rosehips in a kettle – tea recipes

From rosehips, you can make not only pure decoction but also a variety of useful teas that will help strengthen the immune system in any season.

With rosehips, cinnamon, and nuts

  • Dried rosehips – 30 gr;
  • cinnamon – 1 stick;
  • walnuts – 30 gr;
  • Dry black tea – 0.5 cups;
  • water.

Crush rose hips with a knife or in a blender. Do the same with the nuts, roasting them in a red-hot frying pan. Break the cinnamon stick into several pieces. Mix rosehip, nuts, cinnamon, and black tea, pour it into a dry container, and insist 5-10 days to mix the flavors.

To make the tea, pour 1 tbsp. mixture into a teapot, pour 300 ml. hot water, let stand for 15 minutes, strain, and drink as normal tea.

With rose hips and cranberries

  • Dried rose hips – 1.5 tbsp;
  • cranberries – 1 tbsp;
  • green tea – 1 tbsp;
  • water – 600 ml.

In the brew, pot pours cranberries and rose hips, and knead berries with a mortar. Pour the top of the green tea, pour boiling water, leave for 15-20 minutes, then strain and drink.
