  • Remove the curtains from the window and shake off the dust;
  • dilute some liquid soap or laundry gel in warm water and soak the tulle for 30 minutes;
  • send the curtains to the machine, setting on a gentle mode.

Please note that the temperature during washing should not exceed 40 ° C. If you need not only to wash but also to bleach the tulle, you can add a little bleach to the conditioner compartment.

How to bleach tulle from grayness with baking soda – grandma’s method

Washing curtains is only the first step, often they need to be bleached, as over time the fabric loses its white color and attractive appearance. There is a proven way to bleach tulle – the use of baking soda and citric acid. You need:

  • Pour warm water into a basin;
  • dilute in it 50 g of washing powder and 2 tablespoons of soda;
  • Leave the curtains in the solution for 30 minutes.

The time can be increased – make sure that the water is cold at the end of the procedure. The final step is to take the tulle out of the basin, gently wring it out and wash it in your usual way.

On a similar principle, you can use citric acid – in this case, you will need 2 sachets of the product and a few hours of soaking. This option takes more time, but the question of how to bleach synthetic tulle without effort falls away.

How to bleach tulle from yellowing at home with greenish

A penny drug is also a great helper for hostesses who want to return the previous luxurious look to their curtains. It is not difficult to use verdigris for this purpose:

  • dilute 25-30 drops of green in 0.5 liters of water;

Table salt is one of the cheapest, but also the most effective method of reanimating curtains. This remedy perfectly washes away dust particles and is suitable for any type of tulle. The technology is simple:

  • Dissolve 5 tablespoons of salt in 5 liters of warm water;
  • Add 2-3 tablespoons of washing powder;
  • Dip the tulle in the basin and leave for the night.

After that, the curtains can be washed the usual way in a gentle mode. If you want your tulle to shine permanently, follow this procedure after each wash.

How to get rid of yellow tulle with peroxide and ammonia

This option is ideal if you want to whiten curtains that hang in the kitchen. They are regularly attacked by grease, carbon monoxide, and dust, so they are more difficult to wash. Peroxide and ammonia are great for this, you just have to:

  • Mix 3 tbsp of 3% peroxide and 2 tbsp of ammonia;
  • Dilute it in a bowl with 10 liters of warm water;
  • Dip the tulle in it and leave it there for 30 minutes.

In the end, you will only have to rinse the curtains, squeeze them and dry them. Be careful – peroxide and ammonia can only bleach curtains made of organza or cotton.
