- 500 g wheat flour type 405
- ½ cube of yeast
- n. B. Salt
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 200 ml water, lukewarm
- n. B. Vegetable oil for frying

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

Knead all ingredients into a smooth dough. Depending on the quality of the flour, add water carefully at first to avoid over-watering the dough. The dough should be easy to stretch. Let the dough rise for 1 hour, then drop portions of the dough into a pan covered with about a thumb’s width of oil. Fry the dough pieces on medium heat for about 20 minutes until golden brown on both sides. Serve with sour cream or other sauces.
