Braised Kasseler in Mustard Sauce

The perfect braised kasseler in mustard sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 6 Discs Kasseler
  • 1 Pc. Onion (large)
  • 2 tbsp Mustard medium hot
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Flour
  • 300 g Cream
  • Nutmeg
  • Salt
  • Black pepper from the mill
  • 0,5 bunch Chives
  1. Preheat the oven to 175 ° C. Place smoked pork slices (approx. 5 cm thick) side by side in a greased baking dish. Cut the onion into rings and spread over them.
  2. Mix the mustard, honey, flour and cream together and season with nutmeg, salt and pepper. Pour the sauce over the Kasseler. Braise in a hot oven for about 35 minutes.
  3. Cut the chives into rolls and spread over them.
