Braised Pork Ribs

The perfect braised pork ribs recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1,2 kg Pork ribs
  • 2 tbsp Sesame
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 small Onion
  • 3 cm Ginger
  • 6 tbsp Soy sauce dark
  • 2 tbsp Rice wine
  • 2 tbsp Sugar brown
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Chili paste
  • 300 ml Water
  • Seasoned salt from my KB
  • Garlic pepper from my KB
  • Food starch
  1. Have the ribs sawed in half at the butcher, then cut into individual ribs and season with a little salt. Briefly toast the sesame seeds without oil and mortar 2 tbsp. Peel the ginger, garlic and onion. Finely grate the ginger and garlic and dice the onion.
  2. Heat the oil in a roaster and fry the ribs all around until crispy and take them out briefly. Then put ginger, garlic and onion in the roasting pan, toast briefly, then soy sauce, rice wine, sugar, salt, chili paste, water, ground sesame seeds and add the whole thing with the sesame oil and put the ribs back in.
  3. Now stew the ribs for at least 1 hour, or longer depending on your taste! Then take out the ribs and thicken the sauce with water and cornstarch! Season the sauce again with seasoning salt and garlic pepper and put the ribs back into the sauce!
  4. There was rice with steamed vegetables.
