Bratwurst in beer sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 large bratwurst, Franconian
  • 1 tbsp clarified butter
  • Salt and pepper, from the mill
  • 1 pinch(s) marjoram, shredded
  • 250 ml beer, dark
  • 1 tbsp flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Fry the sausages in hot clarified butter until crispy on both sides, remove from the pan, and keep warm. Lightly loosen the meat juices with 2 tablespoons of water and stir in the flour. Pour in the beer and season with salt, pepper, and marjoram. Return the sausages to the beer mixture and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes and a green salad.
