Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 sausages, coarse
  • 4 slice(s) puff pastry, frozen
  • 1 egg(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Blanch the sausages in almost boiling water for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, thaw the puff pastry according to the package instructions and roll it out slightly larger. Place a sausage on each puff pastry sheet. Separate the egg. Brush the puff pastry around the sausage with egg white. Wrap the sausage in the puff pastry to form parcels and place on a prepared baking sheet. Brush with egg yolk and poke a few holes in the puff pastry with a fork. Bake in a hot oven at 225°C (top/bottom heat) for about 35 minutes until golden brown. It also tastes delicious cold.
