bread and horseradish

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 300 g bread roll(s) (bread cubes), dried
  • 2 liters of soup (beef soup)
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • some nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp horseradish (horseradish), from the jar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Place the bread cubes in a wide pot and ladle the hot broth over the cubes, a little at a time, until they have absorbed enough of the broth. It shouldn’t get too mushy. Chop the garlic into very small pieces or press it with a press and add it. Season with salt and pepper. Add nutmeg to taste. Mix well and finally stir in the horseradish. Serve with beef. If you don’t have any real beef broth left, you can also use a broth made with a stock cube. Add a little more seasoning if necessary.
