Bread: Ham and Cheese

The perfect bread: ham and cheese recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Flour
  • 40 g Yeast
  • 250 ml Milk
  • 2 Fresh onions
  • 200 g Tilsiter
  • 100 g Smoked ham
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tbsp Milk
  • Fat for the loaf pan
  • 1 pinch Salt
  1. Sift the flour into a large bowl. Press a well in the middle, crumble in the yeast and pour the lukewarm milk over the yeast. Dissolve the yeast with a spoon. Cover with a cloth and let rise for about 30 minutes. Cut the onions, bacon and cheese into small cubes, add to the pre-dough in the bowl and knead well. Let rise covered for about 60 minutes.
  2. Knead the dough again, put it in a greased loaf pan and let it rise again. Mix the egg yolks and milk and brush the bread with it. Bake in the preheated oven 180 degrees on the middle rack for about 40. Enjoy your meal!
