Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 g stale bread rolls
  • 250 ml water
  • 250 ml milk
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp vegetable broth, instant
  • some pepper
  • some salt
  • Oil, for frying
  • Breadcrumbs, for coating
  • n. B. Cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

simple recipe for using up old rolls

Soften the rolls in milk and water and mash them slightly with a fork. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic, and add them to the roll mixture. If desired, add some grated cheese. Season with vegetable stock, salt, and pepper, and form flat patties. Then roll in breadcrumbs and fry in a pan until golden brown on both sides.
