Bread soup

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 125 g bread(s), stale
  • 1 liter of broth
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 20 g cream cheese
  • Salt
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Dice the bread and dice the onion. Fry the onion and caraway seeds in hot oil. Then add the diced bread and toast briefly. Deglaze the soup with the broth. Let it simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to loosen the bread. Finally, season with the cream cheese (the soup should no longer be boiling), salt and pepper, and sprinkle with chopped parsley. If desired, you can also add bacon or white wine.
