Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 large onion(s), cut into rings
  • 1 liter meat broth
  • 1 liver sausage
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • Bread(s), old farmer’s bread

Instructions

a Bavarian way of using old bread

Cut the bread into small, thin slices and place them in a deep plate. Slice the onions into thin rings, dust with flour, and fry in the deep fryer until golden brown. Onions can also be browned in a pan. Slice the chives into thin rings. Peel the skin off the liverwurst and add the sausage to the hot meat broth. Pour the broth over the bread, sprinkle with chives, and scatter the crispy onions on top.
