Breaded leek sticks

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 leek(s)
  • 4 slices of cheese
  • 4 slices of cooked ham
  • n. B. Flour
  • 2 eggs, whisked
  • e.g. breadcrumbs
  • Fat for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Trim the leeks and cut them into 4 pieces, each about 20 cm in size (without the green part). Wrap each one with a slice of cheese and then a slice of cooked ham. I then secure each one with two toothpicks. Then, first press them all over in flour. Then dip them in the beaten egg and finally coat them in breadcrumbs. Fry the breaded leeks all over in hot oil. We love to serve them with mashed potatoes.
