Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 ½ cups water
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 3 cup(s) wheat flour, type 405
  • 1 cup rye flour, type 997
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 80 g cream
  • 4 tbsp poppy seeds, alternatively sesame, linseed, caraway, black cumin, etc.

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Place the ingredients in a bowl in the order listed and knead using the dough hook of a mixer until smooth. If the dough is too crumbly, add a little more water. Let the dough rest for about 20 minutes, then roll it out on a floured surface to a thickness of about 3 mm. Cut or roll into 2-3 cm wide and 8 cm long strips. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Spread with cream and sprinkle with seeds. Bake at 200 °C for 20 minutes, until slightly crispy. Cool on a wire rack. Serve with dip as soon as possible.
