Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 8 slices of brioche bread
- 1 pack of strawberries, approx. 250 – 500 g
- 2 eggs
- 25 ml milk
- some vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp cinnamon sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- Butter for frying
- some powdered sugar
- some maple syrup
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
Combine the eggs, milk, cinnamon sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl and mix until smooth. If necessary, halve the brioche slices again. Dip the sliced slices into the egg mixture on all sides. Then fry in a preheated pan with a little butter until light brown on all sides. Serve on a plate with a few strawberries, powdered sugar, and maple syrup for a sweeter finish, if desired. The brioche bread cooks very quickly in the pan and browns quickly, so turn it over quickly to ensure it browns evenly on all sides.
