Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 65 g butter
  • 65 g sugar
  • 150 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg(s)
  • Grease for the tray
  • 1 jar apricot jam for spreading
  • 100 g sugar
  • 100 g butter
  • 200 g almonds or hazelnuts, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Combine 65g butter, 65g sugar, 150g flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, and 1 egg in a dough. Spread the dough onto a greased baking sheet. Heat 1 jar of apricot jam in a saucepan and spread it onto the dough. Then bring 100g sugar and 100g butter to a boil and add 200g chopped almonds or hazelnuts. Spread the brittle mixture over the jam. Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C for 20 minutes. Cut into diamond shapes while still warm. Tip: You can decorate everything with chocolate coating beforehand, if you like.
