Broad beans in tomato sauce

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 4 cans beans, thick white
  • 1 tube(s) Tomato paste
  • 4 shallots
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • herbs, Italian
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp vegetable broth, granulated
  • 6 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 15 minutes

Finely chop the shallots and garlic, drain the beans. Heat the olive oil in a large pot and fry the shallots until translucent. Add the beans and garlic. Fill an empty bean can with water, pour the water over the beans, and heat everything through. Stir in the tomato paste. Season with salt, vegetable stock, sugar, herbs, and paprika. Then let cool. Delicious with grilled food, but also simply with baguette and red wine. Enjoy warm or cold.
