Ingredients for 5 servings:
- 3 can/n kidney beans, 400 g each
- 200 g oat flakes
- 2 m.-sized carrot(s), grated
- 4 tbsp potato starch or cornstarch
- 2 tsp mustard, medium hot
- 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp parsley, dried or fresh
- Oil for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Kidney bean meatballs, vegan
Drain the kidney beans in a sieve and let them drain well. Roughly grind the oats using a blender. Then process the beans in a blender or with a potato masher until coarsely ground, then mix in the remaining ingredients with your hands. Form into patties with moistened hands. Fry in a pan with a little oil. Tip: The patties are delicious both hot and cold and can be combined with a whole-grain bun, fresh vegetables, salad, and a spicy dip to make a delicious burger.
