Broccoli and cauliflower casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 cauliflower
  • 1 broccoli
  • 200 g crème fraîche
  • 100 g sour cream
  • 100 ml milk
  • 1 onion(s), finely diced
  • 125 g ham, diced
  • 30 g flour
  • 200 g cheese (Emmental), grated
  • e.g. vegetable broth, instant
  • Salt
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut the cauliflower and broccoli into florets and cook in vegetable stock until al dente. Drain and place in a casserole dish. Fry the ham cubes along with the finely diced onions in a pan until crispy and translucent. Set aside and let cool slightly. Mix the crème fraîche with the sour cream and milk and stir in 50g of grated cheese. Season with salt, a little pepper, and vegetable stock powder if desired. Stir the flour into the mixture and finally stir in the slightly cooled ham and onion cubes. Spread the mixture over the vegetables and mix well. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top until everything is well coated. Bake in a preheated oven at 150°C until the cheese has melted.
