easy and fast

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cut the broccoli florets from the stalk. Use a sharp knife to trim and peel the woody end of the stalk. Then cut the stalk into small cubes. When the water boils, add the pasta and, after a minute of cooking, add the broccoli florets. When the pasta is al dente, skim off a large cup of the cooking water and set aside for later. Drain the pasta and broccoli. Briefly sauté the broccoli cubes, garlic, and chili flakes in a large frying pan with a little olive oil. Then add the pasta and broccoli to the pan and scatter the Parmesan cheese and butter over the top. Deglaze the pasta with the cooking water and gently stir everything in until you have a smooth sauce. Season with salt and pepper and serve hot.
