Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 300 g broccoli
- 200 g cottage cheese
- 100 ml cream
- 50 g semolina
- 50 g cheese, grated
- 2 eggs
- 125g mozzarella
- some salt
- some pepper
- some nutmeg
- some butter for the mold
- some breadcrumbs, for the shape
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
with mozzarella and cheese
Wash and trim the broccoli, then cut into small florets. Sauté in salted water or steam for 5 minutes until crisp. In the meantime, preheat oven to 190°C, lightly grease a gratin dish and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Drain the broccoli, let it cool slightly, and spread it in the dish. Mix the cottage cheese, cream, semolina, cheese, and beaten eggs well. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Pour the mixture into the dish over the broccoli pieces. Cut the mozzarella into pieces and scatter them on top. Bake the casserole in the oven for 30-40 minutes, until the mozzarella is nicely browned. Note: The semolina makes this casserole very filling. The casserole is also easy to prepare ahead of time; the vegetables can be cooked well in advance. Substitution tip: Swap the broccoli for seasonal vegetables. Or combine two vegetables, such as cauliflower and broccoli, or carrots and celery.
