Broccoli with cheese sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g broccoli
  • 40 g butter
  • 250 ml water
  • 40 g butter
  • 50 g flour
  • 250 g milk
  • 100 g processed cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash the broccoli and divide it into florets. Peel the stalks and cut into sticks. Melt the butter and sauté the broccoli for about 2-3 minutes. Add the water and continue cooking for about 5-6 minutes. Then drain and reserve the cooking water for the sauce. Place the vegetables in a greased casserole dish. Make a roux from the fat, flour, cooking water, and milk. Bring to a boil briefly. Stir in the cream cheese. Allow to warm and pour over the broccoli. Bake for about 20 minutes in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F). Serve hot.
