Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 4 eggs
- 170 g flour
- 60 g cocoa powder
- 380 g applesauce, unsweetened
- 1 sachet of baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 250 g chocolate, roughly chopped
- 50 g sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
without butter
Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius (300 degrees Fahrenheit) fan/convection oven. Meanwhile, combine the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt. Add the eggs and sugar and beat until creamy. Chop the chocolate and mix it into the mixture along with the applesauce. Pour everything into a brownie pan, onto a baking sheet, or into a casserole dish and bake for about 30 minutes. Since baking times vary depending on the oven, keep an eye on the brownie and do a skewer test. Let it cool and cut into pieces or eat it warm straight away. Notes and tips: The brownie tastes best when kept in the refrigerator and the chocolate pieces are nice and crunchy. The sugar can be varied according to your mood. I often use sugar substitute or a maximum of 50g of regular sugar because I don’t like it too sweet, but you can use more. The brownies taste delicious if you mix a few frozen or fresh raspberries into the batter.
