Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 slice(s) Baguette(s), fresh from the bakery, cut diagonally
  • 1 large tomato(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 2 small onions
  • basil
  • 1 pinch(s) of oregano, ground
  • e.g. olive oil
  • e.g. balsamic vinegar
  • Garlic, for garnishing

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Cut the tomatoes into small pieces. Alternatively, peel them first by soaking them in hot water and peeling them shortly afterward. Place them in a bowl. Peel the onion, finely dice it, and add it to the tomatoes. Pick and chop the basil, wrap it in a towel, and wash it under running water. Finely chop or pound the garlic. Mix everything well. Add salt and pepper, a pinch of oregano, a dash of light balsamic vinegar, and/or olive oil. Toast the baguette in a heated pan and remove it from the heat. If desired, add a chopped clove of garlic and top with tomato salad. Garnish with a lettuce leaf. Variations: Fry the minced meat and shape it into small patties and serve it as well, or fry the minced meat, place it on the baguette, and briefly place it in the oven, along with the salad and mozzarella. I prefer the original version. Tip: If the garlic seems too much, drink a glass of milk and eat a piece of chocolate.
