Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 pack of Ciabatta (pepper), or other
  • 7 tomatoes (bottle tomatoes) or 2 beefsteak tomatoes
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 bunch of basil
  • olive oil
  • butter
  • salt and pepper
  • Balsamic vinegar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

If necessary, bake the ciabatta. Cut into slightly thicker slices. Dice the onion and sauté briefly. Quarter the tomatoes, remove the seeds, and then finely dice them. Pick, wash, and finely chop the basil. Crush the garlic. Mix everything in a bowl and add a little olive oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste and a few drops of balsamic vinegar. Fry the ciabatta slices on both sides in a butter and olive oil mixture over medium heat until crispy on the outside and super moist and soft on the inside. Top generously with the tomato mixture and serve warm. Your guests will melt!
