Bruschetta with tomatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 beefsteak tomatoes
  • 2 stalks of basil
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 4 slices of ciabatta
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Briefly blanch the tomatoes in boiling water, peel them, cut them crosswise, and remove the stones. Cut the flesh into small cubes and season with salt and pepper. Wash the basil, finely slice the leaves, and mix them with the diced tomatoes. Peel the garlic and press it into the olive oil. Brush the slices of bread with the garlic oil. Toast the bread on both sides until crispy (in the oven or toaster). While still warm, top with the marinated diced tomatoes.
