Brussels sprout stew

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg Brussels sprouts, frozen
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 can of tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp vegetable broth, granulated
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Turkish name of this stew: Zeytinyagli brüksel lahanasi

Place the Brussels sprouts in a pot. Dice the onion and add it to the sprouts along with the tomatoes, sugar, olive oil, and vegetable stock. Pour in boiling water until everything is just covered. Do not stir. Simmer the stew over medium heat for 30 minutes and season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Delicious as a main course or as a side dish.
