Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 750 g Brussels sprouts
- 125 g diced ham
- 1 onion(s)
- 125 ml stock, uncoated gravy, vegetable stock, …
- salt and pepper
- Sugar
- marjoram
- Thyme
- possibly butter
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Clean and halve the Brussels sprouts so they cook faster in the pan. Add the ham cubes to the pan and fry lightly. Meanwhile, finely chop the onion and add it to the frying ham cubes as soon as some fat has collected in the pan. Sizzle the ham cubes and onions until the onions begin to brown. Now add the prepared Brussels sprouts and fry briefly. Then deglaze with the stock and simmer with the lid closed for 10-15 minutes. Depending on the intensity of the stock, season with salt, pepper, sugar, marjoram and thyme. If the ham cubes do not release enough fat, add a little more butter.
