Brussels Sprouts Skewer
The perfect brussels sprouts skewer recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Brussels sprouts fresh
- About 3 pieces for each skewer
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Sugar
- 8 tablespoon Olive oil
- 1 pinch Pepper from the grinder
- 10 Milliliters Balsamic vinegar crema
- 50 g Freshly grated Parmesan
- 8 piece Shish kebab skewers
- Remove the stem and outer leaves from the Brussels sprouts. Halve the cleaned Brussels sprouts and put 6 halves each on a kebab skewer. I recommend metal skewers, as the Brussels sprouts are very firm and wooden skewers are very difficult to go through … 😉 In the meantime, preheat the oven to 160 ° C.
- Place the skewers on a baking sheet lined with paper and season with a pinch of salt and sugar each, then drizzle with olive oil (preferably a little more so that the Brussels sprouts don’t get too dry), then season with pepper and finally some balsamic vinegar Pour cream over it.
- Now place the whole thing on the middle rail in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, preferably with top / bottom heat, circulating air dries the Brussels sprouts out too much.
- Finally rub some fresh Parmesan cheese over the skewers, and then you can serve …
- We had Brussels sprouts as an accompaniment to veal escalope and “layered potatoes” (recipe in my cookbook), and even “non-Brussels sprouts” found the skewers really tasty ..! Good hunger!
