Brussels Sprouts Skewer

The perfect brussels sprouts skewer recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Brussels sprouts fresh
  • About 3 pieces for each skewer
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 8 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 pinch Pepper from the grinder
  • 10 Milliliters Balsamic vinegar crema
  • 50 g Freshly grated Parmesan
  • 8 piece Shish kebab skewers
  1. Remove the stem and outer leaves from the Brussels sprouts. Halve the cleaned Brussels sprouts and put 6 halves each on a kebab skewer. I recommend metal skewers, as the Brussels sprouts are very firm and wooden skewers are very difficult to go through … 😉 In the meantime, preheat the oven to 160 ° C.
  2. Place the skewers on a baking sheet lined with paper and season with a pinch of salt and sugar each, then drizzle with olive oil (preferably a little more so that the Brussels sprouts don’t get too dry), then season with pepper and finally some balsamic vinegar Pour cream over it.
  3. Now place the whole thing on the middle rail in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, preferably with top / bottom heat, circulating air dries the Brussels sprouts out too much.
  4. Finally rub some fresh Parmesan cheese over the skewers, and then you can serve …
  5. We had Brussels sprouts as an accompaniment to veal escalope and “layered potatoes” (recipe in my cookbook), and even “non-Brussels sprouts” found the skewers really tasty ..! Good hunger!
