Brussels sprouts with ham and onions

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g Brussels sprouts
  • 100 g ham, diced
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • some nutmeg
  • a little butter
  • a little parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

The onion is cut into very small quarters. The Brussels sprouts are stripped of their dark upper leaves, and the resulting excess stalk is trimmed. The cabbage is then boiled in salted water for approximately 10-13 minutes. When tender, it should be easy to pierce with a fork. Drain the water, and add a little butter to the pot with the Brussels sprouts. Leave the sprouts on the hot plate over medium heat, then add the finely chopped onion and fry everything gently. After 2 minutes, the diced ham is added, turning frequently to avoid burning. Finally, add the seasoning.
