Burger buns with Parmesan

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 25 g Parmesan
  • 40 g butter
  • 21 g yeast
  • 200 ml water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 500 g flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 egg white
  • Sesame or caraway

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 40 minutes

Finely grate the Parmesan cheese. Melt the butter and let it cool. Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water and mix with the sugar. Combine all ingredients (except egg whites) thoroughly and knead into a smooth dough. Let the dough rise for one hour. Form 8 rolls and let them rise for another hour on a baking sheet. Brush with the egg white, sprinkle with a little sesame or black cumin, and then bake at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for 20 minutes.
