Butter beans à la Mama Ruth

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 700 g green beans
  • n. B. savory
  • 4 tsp salt
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 bunch of parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

vegetarian, simple, traditional family dish

Remove the florets and tips from the green beans. If using frozen beans, this step is of course not necessary. Place them in a pot and just cover with warm water. Add the savory and salt to the pot, bring to a boil, and simmer gently for 8 minutes. Melt the butter in a pan, add the drained beans, and fry, turning occasionally. Chop the parsley and sprinkle over the beans. Turn them over in the pan again and serve. This sounds like a lot of beans for 3 people, but they cook down quite well. Serve vegetarian with boiled potatoes, or alongside pan-fried meat.
