Buttermilk bread for the bread maker

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g wheat flour type 550
  • 200 g rye flour type 1150
  • 1 ½ tsp, leveled salt
  • 1 tbsp, levelled sugar
  • 1 tsp yeast
  • 375 ml buttermilk
  • 30 g butter
  • 50 g sourdough, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 10 minutes

First, add the buttermilk, then the flour, and all other ingredients to the bread maker. I use the normal setting on my bread maker. The program lasts about three hours, and I select a medium browning setting. Turn on the bread maker and wait until it smells tempting and the machine has finished its baking program. When the bread is finished baking, remove it from the machine as soon as possible and let it cool on a wire rack.
