Buttermilk waffles

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 125 g butter
  • 50 g sugar
  • 50 g vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 eggs
  • ¼ liter buttermilk
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • oil
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

First, combine the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, and eggs in a bowl and beat until fluffy. Then add the buttermilk and mix. Sift the flour and baking powder and gradually add them while stirring continuously until a thin batter forms. Brush a hot waffle iron with oil and use the batter to bake waffles. Serve with cherries and whipped cream.
