Cabbage soup grandma's style

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g lean pork (alternatively from a can)
  • 1 savoy cabbage
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 ½ liters of water
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Place the pork in 1 1/2 liters of cold water and simmer until half tender. Meanwhile, clean the savoy cabbage and cut into fine strips. Peel and roughly dice the onion. Add both and cook with the meat until tender. Then remove the meat, cut it into small pieces (this is not necessary for canned meat, as it is already diced), and add it back in. Finally, season the soup with salt and pepper.
