Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g onion(s)
  • 1 ¼ liters of broth
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 small jar of dry white wine
  • salt and pepper
  • curry powder
  • 4 slices of white bread
  • 120 g cheese of your choice

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the onions and slice into rings. Peel the garlic clove and crush it with a little salt. Roast both in hot oil until golden brown. Dust with flour and deglaze with the hot stock and white wine. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and curry powder. To serve, first toast the slices of white bread. Place in ovenproof soup bowls and then pour the soup over them. Grate the cheese and sprinkle over the top. Bake the soup in a preheated oven at 225°C for about 10 minutes. Serve immediately.
