  • 40 g surimi

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Sushi rolls

Toast the sesame seeds in a dry pan until golden brown, then let cool on a flat plate. Pat the surimi sticks dry and halve them lengthwise. Wash the cucumber, halve them lengthwise, and scoop out the seeds with a spoon. Cut two lengthwise strips approximately 0.5 cm wide. Peel the avocado, cut it lengthwise into strips, and immediately drizzle with lemon juice. Wrap the sushi mat completely in cling film. Place a nori sheet on top, smooth side down, and cover completely with half of the rice. Press the rice down gently, then flip the nori sheet over so that the rice is on the cling film. Spread half of the horseradish on the bottom third of the nori sheet, then arrange half each of the surimi sticks, cucumber sticks, and avocado on top, and roll up the whole thing. Form a second roll with the remaining ingredients. Cut each roll into 6 pieces and roll each piece in toasted sesame seeds.
