Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g wheat flour
  • 500 g rye flour
  • 1 cube of yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 250 ml cream
  • 250 ml buttermilk
  • 200 g nuts, of your choice, chopped
  • Water, lukewarm

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 30 minutes

Mix the yeast with sugar and a little lukewarm water and let it rise. Make a well in the center of the flour and add the risen yeast. Add the remaining ingredients. Knead the dough well until it is smooth and no longer sticky. Let the dough rise in a warm, draft-free place until it doubles in size. Then shape it into a loaf, score it with a knife, let it rise for another 30 minutes, brush with warm water, and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for 60-70 minutes.
