Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 125 g butter
- 1 pinch of salt
- 200 g flour
- Water
- 125 g butter
- 125 g dark chocolate, min. 70%
- 2 eggs
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 100 g walnuts, chopped
- 16 walnuts (halves)
Instructions

Prepare the shortcrust pastry and line a greased pie dish or springform pan with it. Chill for at least 30 minutes. Melt the butter and chocolate together and remove from the heat. Beat the eggs and sugar until creamy, stir in the chocolate mixture, cocoa powder, and nuts, and spread the mixture evenly on the cold base. Bake at the same temperature for another 30 minutes. Place the walnut halves on the cake. If desired, you can “stick” the nuts on with melted chocolate or Nutella. If you’re not so keen on dark chocolate and prefer something sweeter, you can of course use regular dark or even milk chocolate – it will be considerably sweeter, of course. White or nougat chocolate would also be worth a try.
