Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ½ cup water
  • 250 g sugar
  • 250 g cream
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours

Combine water, sugar, and honey in a nonstick pan and stir until a clear broth forms. Now add the butter, cream, and vanilla sugar and cook, stirring, until a thick, bubbly mass forms (mine took about 20 minutes). Spread this mixture thinly onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Then either let it cool slightly, cut it, and roll it into candy balls, or let it cool a little longer and cut it into squares, or let it cool overnight and break it into pieces. Store the candy in a cool place, or it will stick together.
