Caramel with salted peanuts

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 ml milk
  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • 50 g glucose
  • 100 g butter, salted, cold
  • 50 g peanuts, salted, finely chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

This recipe is sufficient for a baking tray lined with baking paper, approximately 20 cm in diameter. Bring the milk, sugar, and half the butter to a boil in a wide pan, stirring constantly. Reduce the heat. Simmer for approximately 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is light brown and thick. Remove the pan from the heat and allow to cool slightly. Stir in the remaining butter and peanuts. Pour the mixture into the baking tray lined with baking paper and allow to set for approximately 1 hour. Turn the caramel out onto a board, remove the baking paper, and cut into desired shapes.
