Carp in beer batter

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 carp fillet, not too small
  • ¼ liter of beer, preferably dark
  • 125 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp honey
  • ½ lemon(s), juice only
  • some salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

This makes the carp particularly juicy

Cut the washed and patted dry carp fillet into pieces. Mix the lemon juice, honey, pepper, and salt and brush the fillet over the carp. Mix the flour, baking powder, oil, egg, beer, and a pinch of salt into a thick batter. Dip the carp pieces into the batter and fry in the frying pan until golden brown. Serve with potato salad.
