Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced beef or mixed
  • 500 g potatoes
  • 500 g carrot(s)
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 2 dl red wine
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • dill

Auntie’s recipe

Brown the minced meat and diced onion in olive oil in a large pot and season generously with salt and pepper. Add the red wine and let it reduce slightly, then reduce the heat. Slice the potatoes about 3 mm thick and arrange them on top of the meat. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Slice the carrots and arrange them on top of the potatoes, season with salt, pepper and plenty of chopped dill. Now cover the pot and let everything simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes. Stir, season to taste and serve with fresh bread. This dish is quick to make, delicious and inexpensive. Ideal for cleaning day or laundry day, for example, because it can be prepared well in advance.
