Minute Steaks with Red Wine and Onions and Horseradish Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients
 

  • 4 Pork steak
  • 4 Red onions
  • 30 g Brown sugar
  • 20 g Butter
  • 100 ml Red wine
  • 2 Apples
  • 4 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 bunch Chopped parsley
  • 30 g Horseradish
  • 1 kg Floury potatoes
  • 250 ml Milk
  • Salt
  • Nutmeg
  • Black pepper from the mill
  • 75 g Butter

Instructions
 

  • Peel, wash and dice the potatoes. Cook for 15-20 minutes. Peel the onions and cut into rings. Caramelize sugar and 1 tbsp water in a pan. Add the onion rings and butter. Pour red wine and reduce for a few minutes.
  • Fry the steaks in a non-stick pan in hot olive oil for 1-2 minutes on each side. Season with salt and pepper and keep warm in the oven. Peel and core the apples with a cookie cutter, cut into slices. Fry the apple rings in the frying fat for 1-2 minutes.
  • Drain the water from the potatoes. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher. Add butter and 250 ml of hot milk and stir. Season to taste with salt and grated nutmeg. Stir in horseradish.
  • Arrange the minute steaks with apple rings, onions and mashed potatoes and serve sprinkled with chopped parsley. I wish you a good appetite!
