Carrots Red in Coat
The perfect carrots red in coat recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 4 Carrots red
- Salt and fresh pepper
- Oil
- After many years, you can buy purple carrots again at well-stocked weekly markets. According to my research, this is the archetype of the carrot. So why not try an old new product. Do not peel the purple carrot, just wash it. Keep the stalk still visible. Place the carrots (each individually) on aluminum foil, drizzle generously with good olive oil and season with crumbly salt. I like to use “Cajun von Wiberg” as a spice. Can be purchased from Amazon or specialist retailers. Then wrap well; really tight. Of course, no liquid should be able to come out. Put in the oven at 170 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Push large carrots longer, small ones shorter. I always say if the dish smells good, it’s done. Greetings and thanks to Sascha Felten from Vienna at this point.
