Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 large cauliflower
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp, heaped curry powder
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder
  • ⅛ liter white wine
  • ⅛ liter vegetable broth
  • ¼ liter of milk
  • ¼ liter whipped cream
  • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • 250 g cooked ham
  • 200 g peas, frozen
  • possibly lemon balm leaves

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

with curry and cooked ham

Clean the cauliflower, divide it into florets, and wash it. Cook in boiling salted water for 10 minutes, then drain. Meanwhile, peel and dice the onion. Heat the butter and sauté the diced onion in it. Sprinkle the flour and curry powder over it, sauté, add the cinnamon, and deglaze with the stock, wine, and milk. Simmer for a few minutes while stirring. Season with salt and pepper and add the cream. Dice the ham. Heat the cauliflower, peas, and ham in the sauce for 5 minutes. Season again to taste. Sprinkle with lemon balm leaves, if desired. We serve this with boiled potatoes.
